Tim Smit is an inspirational and highly sought after speaker.
As Chief Executive and co-founder of the Eden Project, in Cornwall, Tim’s dream of the Eden Project began in 1995 and opened its doors to the public in 2000, since which time it has received over six million visitors. The press dubbed it "the Eighth Wonder of the World."

In 2000 Tim received the Outstanding Contribution to Tourism in the UK from the English Tourism Council. In 2001 he received the Alchemist Award, the Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award (Southern Region), the Catey Award for Tourism and an Honorary Law Doctorate from Exeter University.
Tim is a Trustee, Patron and Board Member of a number of statutory and voluntary bodies both locally and nationally. He is on the Board of the Prince's Trust Business Division, a member of the Cornwall Gardens Trust, and a Director of Kneehigh Theatre. He was also appointed Patron of the Urban Parks Forum.
Tim has received a variety of national awards including The Royal Society of Arts Albert Medal. In 2002 he was awarded an Honorary CBE in the New Years Honours List and he has received Honorary Doctorates and Fellowships from a number of Universities.
He has taken part in many television and radio programmes and has been the subject of This is Your Life and a guest on Desert Island Discs.
He is a regular speaker at conferences, dinners and other events and shows audiences how he has achieved incredible success against all odds combining vision, inspirational leadership, great marketing and brilliant planning to create a unique experience.
